| Qinshan Nuclear Power Project (NPP) Phase II is the first commercial pressurized-water reactor with capacity of 2×600MW which was |
| designed, constructed, managed and operated on our own. It is the only localized nuclear project built through the guideline of “rely on |
| own efforts and corporate with other countries” during the 9th Five-year Period Plan (a general plan for economic development in China). |
| It has successfully absorbed advanced experiences of nuclear design and construction both home and abroad by taking pressurized-water |
| reactor technique which is safer than before. It’s designed and built in the light of the international standard to adopt two loops with |
| capacity of 300MW each. Its rate reached up to 55 percent. The second unit of Qinshan NPP Phase II constructed by the corporation can meet |
| the requirements in quality, safety and schedule. It has created two new records of nuclear power construction in domestic, i.e.---the |
| shortest construction cycle of main structure of the nuclear island and the shortest hoisting period of dome. |
